Ms. Bucci’s class starts the mixed media painting!

Not only do I have the great pleasure of helping out with some of Mr Jacobi’s fabulous Art classes, but also Ms. Bucci’s 7th hour. We have met 3 or 4 times now to discuss a group art Project that was inspired by a recent field trip.(Model U.N). Ms Bucci and her students have gravitated towards some of my current mixed media-relief paintings from prior visits to the studio in room 207 and will be incorporating some of the same techniques in their work in progress! I am very excited to be able to share and be a part of this with them. A really sweet group of students, and truly an inspiring teacher to work with! thanks for your warm welcome! I look forward to working with you all. I asked students to begin to choose a theme which was inspired by the recent conference. Once the theme was established each student was asked to sketch out their ideas, thoughts and feelings. White butcher paper was then placed over a current dry erase board - Ready for the group sketch! - Today they were ready to sketch out the composition to the primed surface. I will now post some photos from today’s efforts and explorations. Please stay tuned for more work in progress photos! top three photos by Ms. Bucci- edited by me. ; - )
